The Care Planning SessionEvery relationship with Ipanema begins here.
The Care Planning Session is a complimentary, confidential conversation. It is the way Ipanema gets to know the life it will be caring for, and it is the way the client gets to know Ipanema. It takes place in your home, or by video, on your timing. There is no obligation to move forward after the session, and there is no charge for it.
What it isA conversation, first.
A Care Planning Session lasts about two hours. The Ipanema team meets with the client, and with anyone the client invites, family, chosen family, partners, advocates. The conversation moves through the medical context, the household context, the relational context, and the practical questions that need to be addressed for care to land well. The team listens more than it speaks. The client is the protagonist of the conversation.
This is not a sales meeting. It is the beginning of a relationship that may or may not result in care. If the client decides to move forward, the Care Plan that emerges from the session is the document that defines the care from that point onward.
What you walk away withFour things, after every session.
01
A personalized Care Plan, written for the client, describing the proposed scope of care, the recommended schedule, and the team that would deliver it.
02
A transparent rate proposal tied to the Care Plan. No surprises. No published rate sheet to compare against; only the plan built for this life, at the cost it actually requires.
03
An insurance coordination assessment, if applicable, including a clear view of what long-term care benefits the client's policies will cover and what private pay will be.
04
A timeline for care to begin, if the client chooses to move forward, typically within forty-eight to seventy-two hours of a yes.
The journeyFrom inquiry to ongoing care.
Six steps, from the first email to ongoing care. The Care Planning Session is the second step. The journey is designed to move at the client's pace, not at the company's.
Inquiry. A short email, or a phone call.
Care Planning Session. A two-hour conversation.
Care Plan. Personalized, transparent rates.
Caregiver Match. Introduction before day one.
Care Begins. Within 48-72 hours of yes.
Partnership. The relationship deepens.
Frequently asked questionsWhat you might be wondering.
-
About two hours. The session takes place in your home or by video, at a time that suits you. There is no rush. We would rather take the time to understand your life well than hurry through it.
-
Yes. The Care Planning Session is complimentary. There is no charge for it, and no obligation to move forward afterward. You will leave with a personalized Care Plan and a transparent rate proposal whether or not you decide to begin care with us.
-
That is exactly the right time to talk. Many people come to us before they need care, so that when the time comes, a plan is already in place and nothing has to be decided in a crisis. The session carries no obligation. If you would rather start with community, Ipanema Circle is a way to get to know us first, on your own terms, and to have care ready when you want it.
-
Call us directly at 347-506-6469. If you or someone you love is coming home from the hospital, we offer same-day RN visits in Marin County, and once you say yes, care typically begins within forty-eight to seventy-two hours. For a medical emergency, please call 911 first.
-
Yes. You are welcome to invite anyone you would like to have with you: family, chosen family, partners, or advocates. The conversation is still centered on you. You are the one we are there to understand, and your wishes guide the plan.
-
Everything you share in the session is kept confidential. We use it only to prepare your Care Plan and, if you choose, to coordinate with your insurance and care team. We do not sell or share your information with anyone outside Ipanema Life without your permission. If you decide not to move forward, you may ask us to delete what you shared.
-
You will. Before care begins, we introduce you to the caregiver we have matched to you, so that the first day of care is never the first time you meet. If the match does not feel right, tell us, and we will find someone who does.
-
No. The session is not a sales meeting, and there is no obligation to move forward. It is a chance for us to get to know you and for you to get to know us. If you decide to begin care, the Care Plan from your session becomes the document that defines that care. If you decide not to, that is completely fine.
