Information you give us. When you fill out our Care Planning Session form or our Ipanema Circle inquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and anything you write in your message. When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address. Please do not include medical details in our website forms. We will gather that information with you directly and privately during your Care Planning Session.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site, hosted by Squarespace, automatically collects basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device type, the pages you view, and your general location based on your internet address.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us to respond to your inquiry, to schedule and prepare for your Care Planning Session, to answer questions about Ipanema Circle membership, and to send you our newsletter if you have signed up for it. We use the technical information collected automatically to understand how visitors use our website and to keep it working well. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to Ipanema Life and Ipanema Circle.

Who we share it with

We do not share your information with anyone. Your information is seen only by Marlon McWilliams, PsyD, who personally runs Ipanema Life and this website. We may disclose information only if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person.

We will respond within thirty days. We will never treat you differently for making a request.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Our website uses a secure, encrypted connection (https), and access to the accounts that hold your information is protected with two-factor authentication. No website or email system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send medical details or other sensitive information through our forms or by email. We will gather what we need privately, during your Care Planning Session.
